Barry Cater
I moved to Alabama in 2007 after a 13 year career in education in our home state of SC.  I am a graduate of Bob Jones University earning a BS in Business & Finance in 1992 and an MS in Educational Leadership in 2001.  I am currently working toward earning a D. Min. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
I became pastor of Harmony in November, 2013 after previously serving 2 area churches as pastor.  My wife, Amy, is a science teacher at Lawrence County High School and we have 2 daughters who are pursuing education degrees from the University of Alabama.
Drew Whitlow
Drew has been at Harmony for several years and is a truly gifted musician and singer.  He faithfully leads our congregational singing, church choir, praise team, and leads the singing in our Wednesday night Student Engage meetings.
In 2016 Drew became the Interim Student Pastor and did a great job in that capacity – so much so that in May of 2017 the church voted unanimously to make him the permanent Student Pastor.  Drew does an outstanding job leading our Students and the several volunteers who help him.   Drew married Kristen Alexander in the summer of 2016 and together they make a great team ministering at Harmony!
Pennie Stover
Pennie joined our staff as church secretary in September, 2016.  We have been very blessed with church growth at Harmony so the church unanimously approved hiring Pennie and she has done truly excellent work.  Pennie and her husband, Daniel, have a daughter named Aubrie and they are a blessing to our ministry!
Brett Vance
Brett has been a member at Harmony all of his life and has always been very active in the church.  Starting in 2016 he started to take on more of a leadership role in the Student Group and in May of 2017 the church unanimously voted to bring him on staff as Assistant Student Pastor.
Brett is currently a student at Athens State University studying Secondary Education while also serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the East Lawrence High School football team.
Brett got engaged to Whitney in October, 2017 and we are so happy and proud for them!
